Global Goal for Water
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) contained 17 goals with 169 targets covering a broad range of sustainable development issues. These included ending poverty and hunger, improving health and education, making cities more sustainable, combating climate change, and protecting oceans and forests.
Goal 6 is Clean Water and Sanitation: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
World Water Day
World Water Day, 22 March, has been held annually and celebrated globally since 1993 as a means to focus attention on the importance of freshwater and to advocate for sustainable management of freshwater resources.
