Thailand’s GHG emission sources

Language : ไทย

In Thailand, 2011, a study of Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization published Thailand generated net amount of greenhouse gas emission to the atmosphere about 227.73 MtCO2-eq, which calculates from overall amount of greenhouse gas emission about 350.68 MtCO2-eq minus by 122.95 MtCO2-eq, from carbon sink activities.

In 2012, there are main four sectors of GHG emission sources that are:

  • Energy Sector produced the largest GHG emission approximately about 44 MtCO2-eq. (73.13 percent of total Thailand GHG emissions)
  • AFOLU Sector produced GHG emission approximately about 71 MtCO2-eq. (15.89 percent of total Thailand GHG emissions)
  • IPPU Sector produced GHG emission approximately about 50 MtCO2-eq. (9.55 percent of total Thailand GHG emissions)
  • Waste Sector produced GHG emission approximately about 03 MtCO2-eq. (1.43 percent of total Thailand GHG emissions)
